Which filetypes are supported by Nemp?

Nemp supports the following audio formats

  • MPEG-Audio
  • Ogg-Vorbis
  • Free Lossless Audio Codec
  • CD-Audio
  • Windows Media Audio
  • Monkeys Audio
  • Musepack
  • OptimFrog
  • WavPack
  • Advanced Audio Coding
  • The True Audio 
  • Wave files (*.wav)
  • several Tracker formats

Files with the following endings are supported:

mp3, ogg, wav, wma, ogg, flac, ape, aac, m4a, mp4, mp2, mp1, aiff, mo3, it, xm, s3m, mtm, mod, umx, fla, oga, midi, mid, rmi, kar, mac, wv, mpc, mp+, mpp, ofr, ofs, tta, and cda (CD-Audio).

Playlists 

Supported playlist formats are m3u, m3u8, pls, asx, wax and cue. Playlists can be saved as m3u, m3u8, pls and a special Nemp format (npl), which can contain additional data of the tracks.

ID3-Tags 

Nemp supports ID3v1-Tag and ID3v2-Tags (*.mp3), Ogg-Vorbis-Comments (*.ogg), Flac-Tags (*.flac) and Apev2-Tags (*.ape, *.mpc and others). Metadata from Windows Media Audio are analyzed, but cannot be modified.
